Dear Journal,

I’ve never written a diary before. I guess I should introduce myself, not that you’re a person or anything. I’m Beatrix Franklin, Junior Carrier for the Alliance Postal Service. I just got the title. They handed me this journal and my rank insignia as soon as the graduation ceremony was over. The Postal Service took a bit hit during “The Sundering”. The dragon burned down the entire post office, Postmaster and all.

I’m not much of a fighter, but I wanted to do something to help the Alliance rebuild. I can’t imagine all the far off places I’ll get sent. I may even make it up to Dun Morogh some day. I can’t wait to see the massive gates of Ironforge. There’s nothing like that back home in Duskwood. And the snow!

I’ll write again as soon as I get to my first post, they’re calling our names now for assignments.

I like how each of her journals actually stay within the same region of Azeroth. She is, by all intents and purposes, a local with her world confined to the same woods she's known all her life. It's refreshing.
