Riathan sat at his desk, scribbling logos for possible guild banners, and off to the side were a series of crossed off names. “Dawn’s Vanguard, The Dawn Vanguard.” Sadly, sitting next to him was a guild registry, and most of those names were taken. The last one he’d come up with, was a tad wordy, but in a way it could stand out more.

He looked up as he heard Beregor enter, the Norn warrior nodding his greeting to the Guardian, a large grin on his face. “You look pensive. You’re not still thinking about the last mission are you?” Riathan leaned back and shook his head. “For once today, no. I’ve made peace with the outcome. No one died, and we kind of completed our mission, through no fault of our own. We didn’t have good intel, and that could have been far worse. A few butting heads I’ll need to keep an eye on, but other than that, I’ll take it as a win.”

Standing, he worked his writing hand a bit, realizing it had gotten a bit sore. “No, the dilemma is coming up with a name for this new venture. Problem is, a lot of these names are taken. And simple one’s too.” He tapped his finger on the page he’d been sketching and scribbling on.

“This one might have a bit of potential.” Beregor looked over it and chuckled, shrugging. “I’ve heard worse.”

“So I should post it?” He mused, idly thumbing the edge of his axe, hanging from his belt.

“I think so, see what the other’s think. Got my vote, Ria.”

“Thanks, Bear.” He patted the norn on the shoulder, walking over to the previously posted parchment, which had a few suggestions, and wrote in careful, neat script.

“Vanguard of The Silver Dawn.”

“Here’s hoping the others like it. We need a damn name!”

Indeed, they need a name. Sometimes it comes from inspiration. Looking forward to more of this storyline.
