Water pooled off her cloak as Arialynn strode inside the tent at Grey Watch. Covered in canvas and rimmed by wood-and-clay walls, its cramped quarters were still a cheerier surrounding than the wetted wilds of Stormheim. An oil lantern flickered atop her desk, lying in wait along with a stack of parchment. It was a marvel all was still dry, and a compliment to the overhead canvas treated with cures and spells.

Hanging her cloak, the lady knight shed her helm, pauldrons, and gauntlets, freeing her hands to grasp a pen and begin her work. She had just settled down before two couriers entered the tent. The two looked at one another, clearly surprised at the other’s presence.

After the initial shock, one cleared his throat and spoke up, “Ma’am, message for you.”

“Two,” the second added.

“Aye then,” Arialynn waved them both in. “Thank you both for your services.” An exchange of letters, coin, and nods, and the two were on their way.

The first letter was a bit more weathered than the other, speaking to the weeks it waited for her presence to secure a private delivery. The second was fresher but again appeared to require a private delivery. Unsealing them, she read one then the other, holding the pages close to the lantern fire, then folded them both neatly to the side. She set her pen to paper.

To Esreiella Caldwell,

My thanks for reporting unseemly behavior. A chat is overdue to speak with Zen Fateshifter on his experiments and consequent breaches of Templar autonomy.

Come to Grey Watch so we may speak in person on these matters, and I am briefed in full.

Signed,
Lightbearer Arialynn Dawnfield
Justicar, Templars of the Rose

To Zen Fateshifter,

Report to Grey Watch presently. I am not in a jesting mood, so come with the mien we require in wartime.

Signed,
Lightbearer Arialynn Dawnfield
Justicar, Templars of the Rose

To Illidari Jen,

My thanks for reporting unseemly behavior. Come to Grey Watch so we may speak in person on these matters, and I am briefed in full.

Signed,
Lightbearer Arialynn Dawnfield
Justicar, Templars of the Rose

Each letter is sent separately by their own courier, to ensure privacy on delivery. In consideration of the Illidari’s eyesight, or at least uncertainty whether traditional ink was either readable or potentially insulting, a treated ink known to be more friendly to Illidari’s specialized eyesight was used, as suggested by the on-site inscriptionist.

To Lightbearer Arialynn Dawnfield, As I have reason to fear for the safety of myself and my family after the of recent unjust attack from two guild members Kanta and Esreiella. I shall send an appointed representative instead. If this is unsatisfactory then we may meet a location we agree upon where in all parties involved can have a guarantee of safety. -Zen Fateshiter of Fateshifter Industries.

Justicar Dawnfield, Having sorted matters at my home, I will be setting out for Westgarde Keep very soon. I do apologize for the delay given that I needed to get my thoughts in order regarding the altercation in Dalaran. Additionally, I'll bring a list of names of people that can confirm my states regarding Zen's behavior. I shall see you soon, Lady Esreiella Caldwell

To Zen Fateshifter, The representative is unsatisfactory. We will meet in a separate location, one I will not disclose by letter to ensure safety. There is no need to bring your family, only yourself will suffice. Signed, Lightbearer Arialynn Dawnfield Justicar, Templars of the Rose
