The demoness wove spells almost too fast for the Pandaren to follow – felflame clashed with chronal anomalies and torrents of pure arcane as the two magic-users dueled in the cavern hidden in Azuna. The succubus’s raw power was matched by the Pandaren’s finesse – but it couldn’t go on forever.
So Petal? Petal cheated.
A curious twist on the most complex spell she knew shoved her -outside- of normal time. Just a step. She held her breath, counted slowly, working another complex application of Chi…

Her shield held for a moment – long enough for a few, shouted demonic words and a flinging motion… and then it collapsed, purple lightning simply tearing the demon’s physical form apart.
Petal panted. She closed her eyes, paws on knees – and just gloried in breathing. Tired, victorious – she looked around the cave and noted that, as per usual, nobody saw anything. But… she remembered the cave being… smaller?
Wait. What?
Her eyes went wide as the cave continued to … grow.
“… What in the..” And the echoes of her voice were… higher pitched. And in a sudden panic, she started to open a portal -home.- She needed to not be here. She could sort this out – she could…
She disappeared with a very tiny *pop*.
